Decollage allows me the freedom to collect, curate, tear, assemble, layer, scrape back, and paint over, ad infinitem, without a predetermined outcome.



There is a satisfaction in repurposing bits of ephemera, which often bring up memories as I’m working. Sometimes, as in printmaking or clay work, technical concerns and challenges drive the creative approach. The decollage process itself gives me the freedom and power to create beautiful, blended little universes out of scrap.
