Hovering between abstraction and cartography, line becomes the primary language in this recent body of collage work. Deliberately wandering through imagined terrain, very thin torn strips have a dual presence - a crisp cut edge on one side and a soft, feathered on the other. They themselves create a tension of stable and unstable, navigating as one. Both anchored and frail, some connections are made and some surrender to obstacles. An overall rhythm presents itself inviting observation of the interaction.
