As humans we seek connection, but the invisible force that ties us all is a primal bond with nature. My art reflects my ongoing search for coherence and beauty in the natural chaos of life through nature. In my work I attempt to capture the essence of nature’s energy, the flow of life that courses through woods, waterways and fields. My imagery emerges through the layering of environmental fragments. I’m inspired by the structured chaos of leaves, branches and roots. Spontaneity and intention converge—branches intertwine and unexpected connections emerge. Each layer reveals new depth, echoing the organic beauty and mystery of the natural world.
As more people live in places disconnected from natures’ sights and sounds, and when the ability to appreciate and relate to nature is lost, the real world becomes distant. Artificial experiences shaped by algorithms and AI models are not substitutes for the grounding that nature provides. Without connections with nature, our ability to love, empathize and appreciate the beauty in the world dies. I create sensory experiences to stimulate recognition and connection. My hope is that by sharing my passion for the beauty of the earth and all its natural environments, others will also be inspired and recognize their own connection and innate relationship with the earth.
